Destiny 2’s One-Eyed Mask and Recluse are Finally Getting Nerfed

Bungie is finally about to greatly weaken one of the best, most tried-and-true guns of Destiny 2. An upcoming update will cut the legs out from under The Recluse, one of the very tough-to-earn pinnacle Crucible weapons from Year Two. The Recluse has carved out a spot as one of the most useful and most sought-after guns in the game, thanks to its unique perks that make it great on both the PvE and PvP sides of the game. But some rebalancing is about to change that, along with the usefulness of the Titan Exotic helmet One-Eyed Mask and a buff for the Xenophage Exotic machine gun. If you want to Buy Destiny 2 Silver PC, I think 5mmo.com is your best choice, after all, the site has been officially certified,so it's very safe.

Right now, when Master of Arms is activated, The Recluse does precision-level damage no matter where you hit your target--basically, it's like the gun lands nothing but headshots. In Destiny 2's next content season, the Season of the Dawn, the game will get a change that removes that bonus, which will knock down the damage The Recluse deals significantly. It's part of Bungie's continued focus on trying to bring Legendary guns (of which The Recluse is one) down a peg in strength, in order to make rarer Exotic guns stand out from the crowd more.

Its nerf will change the effects of the Master of Arms ability, which currently increases its damage output and makes every hit count as a precision shot after a single kill with the weapon. Master of Arms will now simply give a damage bonus rather than the dual effects of precisions shots and bonus damage. On paper, this means that Recluse will still be an excellent choice of weapon, but won’t reward blindly spraying bullets. Players will instead need to tighten up their aim and actually aim for precision hits if they want to maximize damage output.

One-Eyed Mask is a monster for Titans in PvP. When someone shoots you (or even near-ish), for seven seconds their location is tracked and marked on your screen (a gentle wallhack), then if you kill them you regenerate health, get a bonus overshield, and have a short damage buff. It is by far the best Exotic item for Titans in PvP. Some others are nice, sure, but OEM is useful in every situation without requiring any extra effort. The Mask gives you buffs to win your current fight then lets you roll straight into the next even more powerful than before. It simply makes you better.

All of these changes won’t go live until Destiny 2’s next season starts on December 10. There are three and a half more weeks left in the Season of the Undying, at which point the Season of the Dawn will launch with a bunch of balance changes and what Bungie says will be a “whole new meta.” Additional patch note previews will be coming in the following weeks with the full detailed list of patch notes and fixes coming on December 10th when the new season’s update is available to download. Finally, to enjoy all the features in the game, players can Buy D2 Silver from 5mmo.com at a reasonable price.
